Having trouble studying at home?
-
Once Ed and I left Antigua in December it was very difficult to get back into a routine, especially back at home. I know that the island isn’t one of everyone’s favorite places to live but it sure helped us stay on track and away from distractions. I know how difficult it can be studying at home without a proper desk or quiet area. Plus if you are at home with family, they love to barge in and talk. One of the biggest obstacles we had to face was having Ed‘s nephews (age 5 and 3) over almost every day wanting to fish or play hockey with Uncle Ed. They were so adorable that you couldn’t say no. Luckily we moved back to Gainesville to study at the UF library. I know not everyone is as fortunate to have a place to study especially since libraries are closed due to COVID. So please reach out to any of the TAs to talk about study strategies you can use at home. What have you been doing to stay focused at home?

I had a lot of issues studying at home. There is a disconnect from people who aren’t in this intense curriculum, and they have a hard time understanding the commitment you need to succeed. This is why it is important to maximize your effectiveness and efficiency when you are studying.
Are you planning and executing to the best of your ability?
